So there was a completely unexpected email- it turns out that we were awarded a Parent Map Golden Teddy!  We’d like to say thank you to everyone that voted for us! 

We are in a great neighborhood, and we do see lots of families with children- as evidenced by the finger and nose prints on the bottom third of our glass case-fronts (who wouldn’t want to be a little less circumspect and instead get a good, up-close look?).  We do try to be friendly with everyone, but with children and their enthusiasm, it’s hard not to smile, and we were very happy to see our staff get some kudos for being kid-friendly.  Of course, we also have Jay, a baker who seems to be able to make just about any baby or toddler smile. 

So, thank you again.  It’s a unique perspective on our business and our place in the West Seattle community.  We always think of ourselves in terms of being a neighborhood bakery, so we are grateful to know that families see us the same way.
