So… we’ll be missing a case until sometime tomorrow.  We still have desserts!  Their just being kept in the back for the time being.  Let’s hope the paperwork has all the i’s dotted and t’s crossed as the piece needs to come through US customs from Vancouver, BC. We’re still happy as the piece was in stock and we didn’t have to figure out a temporary solution until they could get one made for us.   

Note to everyone- don’t let your passports lapse (shame on a couple of us here), or if you live in WA or one of the other states that have them, at least get an enhanced driver’s license.  It may save you time and shipping charges one day. 

Other than that, wow…our thanks to everyone for coming in!  With the large re-arrangements in production we’ve been a little more reactive than normal, but keeping up well.  We also appreciate your patience as we learn our new point-of-sale system. 

Regarding that…our previous vendor has a good product, but in the end, their platform and solutions weren’t quite geared to our business needs.  Their customer support worked closely with us, as did their reps, and we’re grateful for all their time and effort.  However, we needed to find a better fit for a variety of reasons, and have switched to a new vendor and platform. 

How does this impact you, our customer?  Well, in two ways- for the next couple of days, servers are doing a bit more hunt and peck for the right keys on the screen, and learning all the various register functions.  The second is that for the time being, we can’t sell gift cards (again).  We’ll soon be getting an addition to our new platform that will let us do so. 

What this does not mean is that current gift cards won’t work.  They will, they just aren’t swipe-able.  Let me repeat: All current gift cards are still valid!  (this includes the paper ones still roaming around).  We’ll let you know when new ones are available.
